Higher education in Turkey is not much different from what you find in the European Union (EU) Bologna system. It is organized on 3 levels: Bachelor”s, Master”s, and Ph.D.
The Turkish government allocates a certain number of places for each degree program for foreign students. You need to check these allocations to estimate your chances of admission. Needless to say, a low number of places means high competition.
Once you have found your degree program in Turkey, the next thing to do is to check the admission requirements for that degree. While you should always check the exact criteria on the degree program”s website and see if you meet them, there are also some general conditions that you need to fulfill.
If you are pursuing a Bachelor”s degree in Turkey, you must have graduated or been close to graduating from high school. Applicants must complete high school diploma programs by the admission period at the latest.
Admission periods start in June and end in late August.
